Malaysian Batik in Japan – Osaka’s Asia Fair 2021

Yes, that is right! Malaysian Batik in Japan! We are proud to inform that Jadi Batek has managed to bring our proudly local made Malaysian Batik to be displayed in Asia Fair 2021 that is held in Osaka, Japan!

The Asia Fair 2021 was held for only a one week duration, in Hankyu department store. More specifically, it is the Hankyu department store of the Umeda’s branch in Osaka, Japan.

Our 4 main hand-drawn Batik banners were hung in the middle of the department store, centered for the fair! They were 100% hand drawn on span cotton material in 4 meters length in prominent Malaysian Batik motifs such as the hibiscus, orchids and frangipani.

We’ve also sent our well-loved Batik products to be displayed at the fair. Some of these items include our hand drawn women blouses, the Malaysian Batik kebaya set, sarongs, scarves and pareos. Several Batik accessories such as Batik fans, Batik pouches, keychains and many more.

The Asia Fair is also displaying other Malaysian cultural elements to be shared in the global eyes such as local Malaysian cuisines, desserts, heritage, and many more.

It is our pride to be able to showcase Malaysian Batik in Japan, the rich culture and heritage for the Asia Fair and we look forward to more opportunities like this!
