Last year, we had one of those “is this real?” moments. Our batik appeared on the runway at Milano Fashion Official in Milan, Italy ✨
We collaborated with Karl Ho, a talented local fashion designer, and got to witness batik styled in a bold, modern way on an international stage.
A Proud Collaboration
At Jadi Batek, batik isn’t just fabric to us. It’s handmade art, filled with heritage and stories. This collaboration felt like the perfect blend of tradition + fashion.
Just to share clearly: not all fabrics in the collection were from Jadi Batek.
The show featured textiles from different regions (including Indonesia), and we’re honoured that selected pieces included Malaysian batik fabric handcrafted by Jadi Batek.
And a little fun fact 🌿
Batik has roots in Indonesia, and it became part of Malaysia’s culture through migration and regional exchange. Over time, Malaysian batik evolved with its own identity, shaped by local artistry, colours, and motifs.
Recognition & Highlights
This collection gained international attention, including recognition as the recipient of the “World’s Best Designer Award.”
